Rap n stuff

Greeting and Salutations my fellow Homo Sapiens Sapiens (something tells me I capitalized unnecessarily on some of those words, BuT FUcK YoUR RUles, i dO wHaT i wANT). It's been a long while since I last wrote, and of course, I apologize for that, but summer vacation has descended upon this land, and I find that having many hours a day where I'm doing absolutely nothing is extremely taxing on my ability to write coherent sentences with any kind of rhyme or rhythm to it all, which incidentally leads me pretty flawlessly into my ze topic of ze day, ze rap music. (get it? rhyme or rhythm? sometimes I wonder why I'm single, I mean seriously, all a woman wants in her life is a man who segues flawlessly isn't it????) But yeah, ze rap music. My latest musical excursion has been a foray into the dark art of Rapping/creating Rap Music, and it's probably been one of the most difficult things I've ever done. I've dabbled with wordsmithery for the last 5-6 years (just like every other pubescent boy who's not good at talking to girls) and even beyond the awkwardly hilariously tragic declaration of love poem, into the more serious, exploration of my mind and the world around me type stuff, and the response on it has always been decent, which of course lead me to believe that I was a l337 MLG PRO HARDCORE 70 PRESTIGE WITH 99 WORDSMITHING ( to you, the gamer in midst of readers,) but rapping has really brought me back down to earth in a most impressive manner. It's "easy" to write a poem (the quotations of course signifying how not easy it is (I'm supplying that little note because some people apparently don't understand quotations, what hell's their problem anyway?),) but rapping in step with a beat and in the kind of tone of voice that fits the music around you is extremely difficult to do well, and it's given me a whole a whole new respect for rappers (good ones at least, I still have no time or space for "I GOT HOES IN DIFFERENT AREA CODES!!" that shit needs to crawl in a hole and die) but good, thought out, musically intelligent rap is a true pleasure to listen to, and I'm hoping to somehow synthesize a bit of what that sounds like in my mind with this new project, which, if all goes well, should have some material on the internezt by this fall (shameless selfplugging like a BAWS.)

I think that was all I had to say for now about that, and of course, I will try to refrain from making any promises about any times for my posts, as that will crash and burn miserably, however I can say that I probably won't write for a few weeks, as I'm entering an artistic refuge where I plan on writing some deep lyricz for da peepz (seriously though, why the hell am I still single, I'm so damn smooth,) but I assure you, upon my return from my douchy artistic reclusion, I will have much to talk to you, my adored reader, about. Until next time, enjoy my music of the day, which is a song off of Kanye West's new album, which leaked rather serendipitously the same day other competing rap albums leaked, which just proves to me that a leak ain't a leak at all! So so long dear reader, stay safe, and don't be content being an average schnook, be an above-average schnook!

Feeling Bashful

"A post a week. That's what he promised. A post a week, he said, and we received nothing. A pound of flesh is what we demand, a pound of flesh for his transgressions!" I hope that you, dear reader, understood that multitude of references, cause knowing my irregularity with posting, it might take me a month to explain it in a different post. I won't even apologize for the delay,  cause I know you've come to expect nothing more of me, and that's ok, I love you too. Anyhow, how've you been? (it's funny cause I know you won't be able to fill me in on the on the no doubt fascinating occurrences in your daily life, and if you do, I commend you stubbornness)  Either way, I've been great, so great in fact, that I've couldn't be bothered to write, but such is life. For those of you not heartlinked to me by the great machine known as Facebook, I would like to inform you that I recently turned 17. This is, of course, a big year for me, as the law now allows me to do the exact same things it allowed me to do last year, which is pretty huge of course. I celebrated my coming-of-unimportant-age in style, going to the Distortion festival with a friend, got crunk (as the youth of today so eloquently put it) and then had one of the better band practices I've had so far. The days after that followed the same trend, music, playing and partying to the Distortion festival, just generally having the greatest time I've had in as long time as I can remember.  Anyway, I didn't really want to make that much of a post today, just wanted to keep you up to date on the happenings in my little piece of heaven. This week's piece of music is quite a bit more close to my heart than any of the others, but I genuinely believe that you must listen to it, for it is a musical masterpiece. Pink Floyd has been one of the key bands that I've discovered this year, and look out for these kids they'll be something special one day! (god I'm too funny for my own good) I'm linking Welcome To The Machine for two reasons, one because it's fucking genius song, and also because I early this week met someone that one could call a record label person, and he really represented the machine in a way that I found pretty great. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=lt-udg9zQSE

so yeah, that's all for now, stay safe, don't bite any porcupines, cause they will mess your mouth the fuck up, like this dog that's been circulating around the internetz, I want to link a picture, but the very thought of googling it makes me want to roll up into a ball and cry like a little girl, so I'll leave that up to yeah.
